Dr. Emmanuel Imafidon

Emmanuel Imafidon has had close to four decades of career path experience transcending the education, manufacturing and oil & gas sectors in Nigeria. He was the Director of Human Resources & Medical in Chevron Nigeria Limited for seven years and subsequently.

The Director of Business Services for nine years in the same company, leading up to his disengagement in 2018. Prior to these two roles, he had worked in different managerial capacities in the HR function of Chevron Nigeria Limited and the Nigerian Tobacco Company. His key enduring experiences include the development, deployment and maturing of efficient shared service organizations, development & operationalization of HR strategy, management of employee issues in multicultural settings, initiation/implementation of enhancements of work systems and procedures driven by simplification, effectiveness, efficiency and digital technologies.

Emmanuel’s main professional interests are in people and organizational development. Specifically, he is passionate about imparting knowledge, empowering HR functions, articulating and developing the organization’s culture and human performance enhancement. He is currently a Senior Fellow at the Lagos Business School. Emmanuel has a Bachelors in Education (Political Science) from the University of Benin, an M. Sc. In Industrial Relations and Personnel Management from the University of Lagos, an MBA from the Lagos Business School and PhD in International Business from the International School of Management, Paris. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria, member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and an alumnus of Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program.
